N° 1 13-mm combination spanner
N° 1 6-mm hex key
Image

4.1 SCREW THE FEET INTO THE BLACK SQUARE-SECTION TUBULAR PIECES

Place the 6 black square section tubes on the floor with the square hole facing upwards. Insert the cage nut with the tabs parallel to the length of the leg and screw the 6 feet clockwise into the 6 cage nuts as far as they will go.

4.2 CONNECT THE BLACK SQUARE-SECTION TUBULAR PIECES TO THE CENTRAL ELEMENT OF THE STRUCTURE

1. Position the central element of the structure on the ground, unscrew and remove the fixing ring for the wooden sections and set aside (this will be needed later).
2. Fit a black square-section tubular piece into the relative space in the central element of the structure, making sure the holes align. Repeat for all six tubular pieces.
Image
3. Insert an 8x50 bolt into the outermost hole of the central element of the structure, add a self-locking hexagonal nut and tighten fully with the 13-mm combination spanner and the 6-mm hex key. Do not overtighten as the tubular sections will be later folded inwards. Once tightening is complete, loosen the hexagonal self-locking bolt 1/4 turn in order to ensure that the tubular piece can be folded inwards when the structure is closed. Repeat for all 6 tubular pieces.
Image
Image
4. Once all 6 black square-section tubular pieces have been fitted and fixed, check that they can be folded easily towards the centre of the structure. If they are too stiff or loose, loosen or tighten the hexagonal self-locking bolts. The tubular pieces need to be tightened in such a manner that they need to be moved manually (they should not close unaided).

4.3 TIGHTEN THE SAFETY BOLTS (this is important for the stability of the podium)

The safety bolts are needed in order to stabilise the podium as they stop the black tubular pieces from closing. This is why they must always be inserted when the podium is in use.

1. Insert an 8x50 bolt into the innermost hole on the central element of the structure. Repeat for the other five innermost holes
2. Hand-screw a flanged hexagonal nut onto the 8x50 bolt as far as it will go without tightening. Repeat for all six bolts.

4.4 ADJUST THE FEET (this is important for the stability of the podium)

1. Adjust the feet on the central structure in order to render the surface of the podium perfectly horizontal and to raise the central element of the structure off the ground in order to guarantee increased stability.
Image
2. Check that the feet have been adjusted properly. There should not be excessive thread showing in order to avoid the feet from being damaged.
Image
ATTENTION: The podium can be installed on level floors. Check that the threaded section of the feet is not excessively exposed in order not to damage them.

For sloping floors, find relative methods to even-out the floor.

In the case of uneven floors, install the podium in a concave area rather than a convex area.

5.0 ASSEMBLY OF THE WOODEN TOP

Image

Video operation of the QuickSpin

7.1.1 OPTIONAL FUNCTION: LOCKING THE QUICKSPIN SYSTEM
This is an optional function that allows the QuickSpin system to be locked into one of the two modes (SPIN or STATIC), thus impeding the passage from spin to static with a click. If the QuickSpin locking function is not required, do not insert the steel cone-point grub screw.

For this optional function, use the steel cone-point grub screw and the 4-mm hex key.

1. Locking Quickspin in the spin position: raise the Quickspin ring, insert the steel grub screw into the hole on the ring and tighten fully with the 4-mm hex key. Unscrew and remove the grub screw in order to free the Quickspin.
2. Locking Quickspin in the static position: lower the Quickspin ring, insert the steel grub screw into the hole on the ring and tighten fully with the 4-mm hex key. Unscrew and remove the grub screw in order to free the Quickspin.

7.2 SWITCHING THE POLE FROM SPIN TO STATIC WITHOUT QUICKSPIN

The following is required for this operation:
N° 1 steel cone-point grub screw
N° 1 4-mm hex key
Image
SPINNING POLE:
In order to use the pole in SPIN mode, it is necessary to insert the steel cone-point grub screw into the threaded hole at the base of the pole and tighten it with the 4-mm hex key, stopping as soon as the grub screw has been fully inserted.
Image
ATTENTION: in order to have the pole in spin mode and not to ruin the pin, never tighten the cone-point grub screw until it stops, but only until it is flush with the threaded hole.
Image
STATIC POLE:
In order to use the free-standing pole in static mode, it is necessary to:
1. Rotate the pole and align the hole on the pole with the hole on the central structure.
Image
2. Turn the steel cone-point grub screw clockwise with the 4-mm hex key until it is fully tightened.
In order to return the pole to SPIN mode: unscrew the cone-point grub screw with the 4-mm hex key by turning it counterclockwise until it is once again flush with the hole (see photo above with anchor).

8.0 DISMANTLING THE PODIUM

8.1 REMOVING THE POLE FROM THE PODIUM STRUCTURE:

Grip the pole with both hands and lift it until the steel pin has been completely removed from the central hole in the podium structure. Place the pole on the ground, making sure not to damage it, or on the dedicated Pole Rack.
Image
8.1.1 DIVISION OF THE TWO POLE SECTIONS
To better transport the pole, you can divide it into two sections:

Lay the pole in a horizontal position before beginning.

1° Using the 5-mm hex key, rotate the pin in the upper section for 3.5 turns.
2° Turn the pole until you see the two small silver pins, then use the hex key to push the pin that you have just unscrewed inwards.
3° Separate the sections by pulling them gently apart.

ATTENTION: DO NOT TURN THE HEX KEY TOO FAR IN A COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION, OTHERWISE THE STEEL THREADED BOLT WILL MOVE TOO FAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, ONCE AGAIN LOCKING THE JOINT.
IF THIS HAPPENS, TURN THE STEEL THREADED BOLT CLOCKWISE AS FAR AS IT WILL GO USING THE 5-MM HEX KEY, AND THEN TURN IT COUNTERCLOCKWISE FOR JUST 3 COMPLETE TURNS.
8.1.2 REMOVING THE STEEL PIN FROM THE POLE:
In order to facilitate transportation of the pole, it is possible to remove the steel pin from it by simply inserting the 5-mm hex key into the threaded bolt on the lower pole section and turning it counterclockwise for 3 complete turns in order to unscrew the threaded bolt and remove the steel pin from the section.

ATTENTION: DO NOT TURN THE HEX KEY TOO FAR IN A COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION, OTHERWISE THE STEEL THREADED BOLT WILL MOVE TOO FAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, ONCE AGAIN LOCKING THE STEEL PIN.
IF THIS HAPPENS, TURN THE STEEL THREADED BOLT CLOCKWISE AS FAR AS IT WILL GO USING THE 5-MM HEX KEY, AND THEN TURN IT COUNTERCLOCKWISE FOR JUST 3 COMPLETE TURNS.
Image

8.2 REMOVING THE WOODEN SECTIONS FROM THE PODIUM STRUCTURE:

1. Turn the wooden section fixing ring counterclockwise to raise it.
Image
2. Carefully remove the wooden sections making sure not to drop or damage them.

8.3 FOLDING THE CENTRAL STRUCTURE OF THE PODIUM

1. Unscrew the 6 hexagonal nuts from the 6 safety bolts (those closest to the central element) and remove them.
Image
2. Fold the six black square-section tubular pieces towards the centre of the structure.
Image
ATTENTION: it is NON necessary to remove the six black square-section tubular pieces. In this way, in order to reassemble the podium, it is only necessary to open out the tubular pieces and lock them back in place with the safety bolts.
