2.1 ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION NOT INCLUDED

3.0 ASSEMBLY OF THE POLE
Take care when unpacking the poles and components in order to not damage the pole coating. Pole assembly should be carried out on the ground.
Place the pole sections horizontally on the ground and kneel in front of them in order to begin assembly.

ATTENTION: Do not remove the red tape from the pole base until specifically instructed to do so.
3.1 FIT THE UPPER PLATE TO THE UPPER POLE SECTION
1° Rest the upper plate on the floor and slot the upper pole section into the steel pivot.
2° Check that the plate is fully inserted

3.2 SCREW THE LOWER PLATE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LOWER POLE SECTION. FOLLOW THE NEXT POINT ACCORDING TO THE DIAMETER PURCHASED.
Follow step 3.2.1 for the 45mm pole.

3.2.1 POLE DIAMETER 45 MM
1° Lower the QuickSpin (static pole position).
2° Screw the lower plate into the lower pole section by turning it clockwise, stopping approximately 2 cm from the safety ring.

3.2.2 POLE DIAMETER 40 MM OR XXL 45 GECKOGRIP
1° Lower the QuickSpin (static pole position) and rotate the safety ring clockwise to approximately 1 cm from the Quickspin ring.
2° Screw the lower plate into the lower pole section by turning it clockwise until it is almost touching the safety ring.

3.3 CONNECT THE POLE SECTIONS AND TIGHTEN THE SCREWS ON THE CENTRAL JOINT
1° Place the pole sections on the ground and connect them, ensuring that the holes align.
2° Use the 5 mm hex key to tighten the joints, turning the key clockwise.

4.0 POLE INSTALLATION
For pressure installation, check that:
1 ° The pole rests on horizontal, solid, non-elastic, flat and uneven surfaces.
2 ° Make sure that the surfaces in contact withstand a pressure of approximately 350 kg.
3 ° Check that the pole is installed in the point where the measurement was taken at the time of purchase. The pole has a tolerance of - 1 + 4 cm compared to the height indicated when ordering.
4 ° Clean the floor and ceiling to remove any residual dust.
5 ° Clean and degass the PAD present under the pole plates with alcohol. The PADs are kept in place without the use of chemical adhesives, in case of detachment use double-sided tape to reposition them.
6 ° For the pressure installation it is recommended to use the Safety Plate, that is a safety plate which serves to avoid the accidental fall of the pole. If you have already purchased the Safety Plate, first you need to screw this plate to the ceiling in the point where you want to install the pole, follow the instructions that accompany the accessory.
Having checked all the points above, proceed with the installation of the pole.

4.1 PLACE THE POLE VERTICALLY IN THE PRE-ESTABLISHED POSITION AND EXTEND IT UNTIL IT IS IN CONTACT WITH THE CEILING
1° Make sure that the QuickSpin is in the static position.
2° Place the pole vertically in the point in which it is to be installed (taking care not to damage light fittings, walls or any surrounding furnishings).
3° Rest the base on the floor, grip the pole midway along its length and turn it anticlockwise. The pole will begin to extend and the upper plate will rise towards the ceiling or the Safety Plate.
4° As soon as the upper plate on the pole comes into contact with the ceiling or the Safety Plate, stop and ensure that the pole is perfectly vertical.
2° Place the pole vertically in the point in which it is to be installed (taking care not to damage light fittings, walls or any surrounding furnishings).

4.2 SAFETY CHECK
The height regulation screws must not be excessively exposed. Insert the 5 mm hex key into the inspection hole located on the lower part of the lower pole section:
1° if the hex key stops against the internal screw, installation has been carried out correctly.
2° if the hex key passes through the hole on the opposite side, the pole is NOT secure. This means that in the point in which the pole has been positioned, the height of the ceiling is more than that indicated in the order. Try to move the pole to another point in the room before contacting the manufacturer.

4.3 PLACE THE POLE IN A PERFECTLY VERTICAL POSITION AND TIGHTEN IT AGAINST THE CEILING
This operation is very important as it will allow the pole to function correctly.
1° Place the pole in a perfectly vertical position with the use of a spirit level (not included), first frontally and then laterally, moving the lower plate with your foot in the direction necessary.
2° When the pole is in a perfectly vertical position, grip it with both hands and turn it slowly anticlockwise in order to properly fix the upper plate against the ceiling.
3° The pole should not be excessively tightened, as otherwise the elevated pressure may slow the spin speed.

4.4 STABILITY CHECK
1° Grip the pole with both hands
2° Shake it in order to ensure that the pole does not shift position, and then move on to the next check.
If the pole moves, and is therefore no longer perfectly vertical:
1° Grip the pole
2° Turn it clockwise to lower it
3° Repeat point 4.1 and 4.3, tightening a little more than before
4° Repeat the stability check.

4.5 ROTATION FLUIDITY CHECK
1° Lift the QuickSpin ring (spinning position).
2° Rotate the pole in order to test the fluidity of the spin.
If it spins freely:
Move on to the next step: TIGHTEN THE SAFETY SCREWS.
If the pole does not spin freely:
1° Lower the QuickSpin ring to the static position.
2° Loosen the pole by turning it just a few degrees clockwise.
3° Repeat the stability check.
If the pole spins unevenly:
Check that the pole is perfectly vertical as per point 4.3.
2° Rotate the pole in order to test the fluidity of the spin.
If it spins freely:
Move on to the next step: TIGHTEN THE SAFETY SCREWS.
If the pole does not spin freely:
1° Lower the QuickSpin ring to the static position.
2° Loosen the pole by turning it just a few degrees clockwise.
3° Repeat the stability check.
If the pole spins unevenly:
Check that the pole is perfectly vertical as per point 4.3.
4.6 TIGHTENING THE SAFETY SCREWS. THE PROCEDURE CHANGES ACCORDING TO THE DIAMETER OF THE POLE.
Follow step 4.6.1 for the 45mm pole.
Follow step 4.6.2 for the 40 mm pole and XXL 45 GeckoGrip.

4.6.1 TIGHTENING THE SAFETY SCREWS : 45 MM POLE
1° Remove the red seals.
2° Take the 8 mm spanner.
3° Position the 8 mm spanner correctly and tighten the hexagonal screws (safety screws) alternately by turning them anticlockwise (observing from above, looking downwards). Tighten the screws with appropriate force. Excessive force may cause damage.
2° Take the 8 mm spanner.

4.6.2 TIGHTENING THE SAFETY SCREWS: 40 MM POLE OR XXL 45 GECKOGRIP POLES
1° Lower the QuickSpin (static pole position) and rotate the safety ring clockwise to approximately 1 cm from the Quickspin ring.
2° Screw the lower plate into the lower pole section by turning it clockwise until it is almost touching the safety ring.
2° Screw the lower plate into the lower pole section by turning it clockwise until it is almost touching the safety ring.

4.7 CHECK FOR CORRECT TIGHTENING
1° Lower the QuickSpin ring to the static position.
2° Check that the pole does not turn by turning it anticlockwise.

5.0 INSTALLATION VIA SCREWS IN THE CEILING AND FLOOR.
THIS INSTALLATION IS MANDATORY FOR ALL XXL MODEL POLES THAT EXCEED A HEIGHT OF 420 CM.
The expansion plugs for fixed installation are not included because they are to be chosen according to the composition of the ceiling and floor, consult an expert.
ATTENTION! Screw the pole so that it can be removed for the normal greasing maintenance of the bearings which must be done once every year or year and a half, depending on the use.
Once all the previous points up to 4.7 have been completed, proceed as follows:
1° Mark the points where the screws are to be inserted in the ceiling and / or floor with a pencil.
2° Proceed with the uninstallation of the pole (steps 7.0).
3° Drill the marked points with a drill and insert the plugs.
4° Proceed with the installation of the pole (points 4.0) and match the holes on the plate to the holes on the floor / ceiling.
5° Tighten the screws.

6.0 OPERATION OF THE QUICKSPIN SYSTEM
To use the pole in either spinning or static modes, lower or lift the QuickSpin ring:
- QuickSpin ring lowered: static pole
- QuickSpin ring lifted: spinning pole
- QuickSpin ring lowered: static pole
- QuickSpin ring lifted: spinning pole

6.1 BLOCKING THE QUICKSPIN SYSTEM
If you do not want to lock the operation of the QuickSpin, you DO NOT have to insert the screw.
If you need to lock the QuickSpin ring in either of the 2 positions (spinning or static), use the grub screw and the 4 mm hex key.
1° Lock QuickSpin in the spinning position:
lift the QuickSpin ring, insert the grub screw in the free hole and tighten it fully with the 4 mm hex key. Unscrew the grub screw in order to free the QuickSpin.
2° Lock QuickSpin in the static position:
lift the QuickSpin ring, insert the grub screw in the free hole and tighten it fully with the 4 mm hex key. Unscrew the grub screw in order to free the QuickSpin.
Remember that this screw only needs to be screwed in if you want to lock the QuickSpin, otherwise it must not be inserted as it could lock the QuickSpin when using the pole.
If you need to lock the QuickSpin ring in either of the 2 positions (spinning or static), use the grub screw and the 4 mm hex key.

6.2 PAY ATTENTION NOT TO TOUCH THE SLOTTED SCREWS
Do not touch the screw indicated in the figure.

7.0 DISASSEMBLY OF THE POLE: FOLLOW THE POINT ACCORDING TO THE DIAMETER OF THE POLE.

7.0.1 45 MM POLE: LOOSEN THE SAFETY SCREWS WITHOUT UNSCREWING THEM COMPLETELY
1° Position the 8 mm spanner correctly on the safety screws in order to avoid damage.
2° Loosen the safety screws with the 8 mm spanner by turning them clockwise (observing from above, looking downwards) but do not remove them completely.

7.0.2 40 MM AND XXL 45 GECKOGRIP POLES: LOOSEN THE SAFETY SCREWS WITHOUT UNSCREWING THEM COMPLETELY AND LOWER THE SAFETY RING
1° Position the 8 mm spanner correctly on the safety screws in order to avoid damage. Loosen the safety screws by turning them clockwise
2° Turn the safety ring clockwise to move it close to the QuickSpin

7.1 REMOVE THE POLE
Handle the pole with the utmost attention in order to ensure that it does not fall.
1° Lower the QuickSpin to the static position.
2° Rotate the pole in a clockwise direction to detach it from the ceiling. If the rubber pad on the upper plate is stuck to the ceiling through suction, allow air between the rubber and the ceiling or the safety plate with a screwdriver or similar.
4° Remove the pole, resting it on the ground or on the dedicated rack. If rested in a vertical position, make sure it is suitably anchored in such a way that it will not fall if accidentally knocked.
1° Lower the QuickSpin to the static position.
2° Rotate the pole in a clockwise direction to detach it from the ceiling. If the rubber pad on the upper plate is stuck to the ceiling through suction, allow air between the rubber and the ceiling or the safety plate with a screwdriver or similar.

7.2 HOW TO DIVIDE THE POLE
If you need to divide the pole to change the upper piece or for other reasons, do the following.
Lay the pole in a horizontal position before beginning.

1° Using the 5-mm hex key, rotate the pin in the upper section for 3.5 turns.
2° Turn the pole until you see the two small silver pins, then use the hex key to push the pin that you have just unscrewed inwards.
3° Separate the sections by pulling them gently apart.
ATTENTION: DO NOT TURN THE HEX KEY TOO FAR IN A COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION, OTHERWISE THE STEEL THREADED BOLT WILL MOVE TOO FAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, ONCE AGAIN LOCKING THE JOINT.
IF THIS HAPPENS, TURN THE STEEL THREADED BOLT CLOCKWISE AS FAR AS IT WILL GO USING THE 5-MM HEX KEY, AND THEN TURN IT COUNTERCLOCKWISE FOR JUST 3 COMPLETE TURNS.
8.0 PRE-USE CHECKS
8.1 BEFORE USE, ALWAYS check that the central joint of the pole is adequately tightened.
8.2 Always carry out the checks in points 4.3, 4.5 and 4.6 before use.
8.3 Each time the pole is installed, check that the floor and the rubber pads under the pole plates are perfectly clean.

9.0 MAINTENANCE

11.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
11.1 THE POLE TURNS SLOWLY
Excessive pressure may have been applied to the pole during installation: reduce pressure, see point 4.4
11.2 THE LOWER POLE PLATE SLIPS
Check that the rubber pads on the underside of the pole plates and the floor are perfectly clean, see point 8.2
11.3 THE POLE TURNS NOISILY
Check that the pole is in a perfectly vertical position (point 4.2)
Check that the floor and ceiling are parallel. If this is not the case, try and move the pole a few centimetres.
If the problem persists, it may be necessary to lubricate the pole bearings (point 9.2)
11.4 THE QUICKSPIN2 SYSTEM IS BLOCKED
Check that the optional screw has not been inserted and that the slotted screws have not been touched (point 6.1)
Check that the pole is in a perfectly vertical position (point 4.2)
11.5 THE RUBBER PADS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POLE HAVE DETACHED
The pads are installed without the use of chemical glues. In the event of their detaching, in order to reposition them clean the contact area and use normal double-sided adhesive tape (spare pads are supplied with double-sided tape on the back).
11.6 THE PRESSURE OF THE POLE BETWEEN THE CEILING AND THE FLOOR HAS REDUCED FOLLOWING INSTALLATION
Check that the floor and ceiling are solid (point 4.0).
In the case of laminated parquet fitted with expanded polyethylene film, the pockets of air inside the polyethylene compress, causing the pole to lose pressure. When this happens, loosen the safety screws and rotate the pole anticlockwise a few degrees in order to restore the correct level of pressure, as per points 4.3, 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6 In any case, we recommend installation of the Safety Plate.
11.7 THE POLE UNSCREWS WHEN IN STATIC MODE
Check the correct tightening of the safety screws as per points 4.5 and 4.6
11.8 THE GECKOGRIP AND STAINLESS STEEL POLES ARE MORE SLIPPERY THAN IN OTHER INSTALLATIONS
Clean the poles as per point 9.1
If the problem persists, check other aspects, such as an excessively damp external environment, sweating, etc. In the event that a defect is suspected, contact customer service as per the terms and conditions of sale.
11.9 When the product is not in use, check that it is stored in a safe position.
