3.0 ASSEMBLY OF THE POLE

n order to render assembly easier and quicker, both the WhirlPole and the portable WhirlPole are sent with the cords pre-installed and come divided into two sections of 150 cm each, connected at one end by the double cords (grey and black) that run through the inside of the pole.

The portable WhirlPole can be further divided into 4 sections of 75 cm each for later transportation.

Take care when unpacking the poles and components in order to not damage the pole coating.
Pole assembly should be carried out on the ground.
Assembly is to be carried out in a kneeling position.

If complete assembly is necessary, for example in order to change the cords, go to point 4.0

3.1 CONNECT THE POLE SECTIONS AND TIGHTEN THE SCREWS ON THE CENTRAL JOINT

Lay the WhirlPole sections horizontally on the ground, next to each other.
Leaving the lower section (with the spherical end piece) in position, move the upper section to bring it in line with the joint.
Avoid dragging the section on the ground.
ATTENTION! DO NOT TWIST THE CORDS
, avoid rolling the sections.

Insert the upper section into the joint and align the hole with the pawl. ATTENTION! DO NOT TWIST THE CORDS
Use the 5 mm hex key to tighten the joints, turning the key clockwise.

ATTENTION!!! Before use, always ensure that all the joints are properly tightened.

4.0 COMPLETE ASSEMBLY OF THE WHIRLPOLE/CHANGING THE CORDS

These instructions explain how to fully assemble the WhirlPole and the Portable WhirlPole.
When changing the two cords, each cord must be approximately 640 cm in length and have a diameter of at least 6 mm.

ATTENTION: the cords supplied by the company together with the product are made to specific technical specifications and a determined load capacity. Substituting these with other unsuitable cords or cords of inferior quality may lead to serious accidents and injury. Please do not hesitate to contact the company for original spare parts.

4.1 INSERT THE CORDS INTO THE LOWER END PIECE OF THE POLE

Insert the two cords into the lower end piece (with the sphere).
Make sure that the cords never twist.

4.2 TIE KNOTS ON THE ENDS OF THE CORDS

This operation is fundamental for the product to be safely used.
Take the two ends of the same cord, without twisting it.
Tie them together with the knot shown below, making sure to leave approximately 4 cm of cord for each short end.

NB: In the diagram below, the two ends of the same cord are shown in two different colours for clarity.

4.3 INSERT THE CORDS INTO THE FIRST SECTION OF THE POLE

Insert the double cords into the first section of the pole, ensuring that they come out of the other end and making sure that they do not twist. The previously tied knots will remain in the lower part of the section, just above the lower end piece.
Pull the cords until the knots and the spherical lower end piece enter the pole, making sure to avoid the cords from rubbing on the edges of the pole.
Align the holes on the lower end piece with the holes on the pole.
Using the 4-mm key, fully tighten the screw, making sure that the pawl comes out on the other side.

Attention! Tighten the screw before each use to make sure it does not come loose.

4.4 INSERT THE CORDS INTO THE CENTRAL JOINT AND SCREW IT INTO THE LOWER POLE SECTION

Take the joint to connect the pole sections.
Making sure that the cords do not twist inside the pole, insert one black cord and one grey cord into each hole in the joint.

N.B.: he position of the grey and black cords in the two holes is inverted (in one hole the black cord is below and the grey cord is above, while in the other hole the cords are the other way round) and the initial position of the cords in the lower end piece must be respected for the entire length of the pole.

Insert the joint into the lower section of the pole and align the holes in the joint with those on the pole.
Use the 5-mm key to fully tighten the joint screw, ensuring that the pawl emerges from the side opposite to the hole on the pole.

Attention! Tighten the screw before each use to make sure it does not come loose.

For the portable WhirlPole, continue as follows:

Feed the cords into the second section of the pole until they come out of the other end.
Insert the screwed joint into the lower section of the pole in the second section of the pole, making sure the cords do not twist.
Align the holes on the joint with the holes on the pole.
Use the 5-mm key to fully tighten the joint screw, ensuring that the pawl emerges from the side opposite to the hole on the pole.

Attention! Tighten the screw before each use to make sure it does not come loose.

Repeat until all four pole sections have been connected together.

4.5 INSERT THE UPPER END PIECE INTO THE UPPER SECTION OF THE WHIRLPOLE

Take the upper end piece of the WhirlPole.
Divide the cords, taking the hole on the pole as a point of reference; one grey and one black cord per part, making sure that their position is maintained in the joints and in the lower end piece.
Insert the upper end piece into the pole, making sure that the cords pass freely on the two sides of the plastic tube.
Align the tube in the upper end piece with the two holes in the pole.
Insert the 6-mm screw into the upper end piece, ensuring it exits from the other end.
Screw the nut onto the screw.
Use the key to turn the self-locking nut until it comes into contact with the rubber coating. It does not need to be tightened to the limit.

Using 640-cm cords, the bonded pairs of the two cords will stick out of the upper end of the pole by approximately 20 cm.

ATTENTION: Make sure the screws are properly tightened before each use.

5.0 INSTALLATION OF THE WHIRLPOLE

The WhirlPole must be FITTED TO a suitable ceiling or beam.
To use the WhirlPole as a FlyingPole, the ceiling must be at least 4 meters high, A pole with the UltraGrip (rubber) coating is required.

ATTENTION! Always use a swivel joint to stop the cords from twisting.

5.1 REST THE HEXAGONAL BASE ON THE GROUND

Take the black hexagonal base.
Clean the rubber pads under the black base; nail-polish remover can be used for deep cleaning.
Clean up any dust and dirt on the floor.
Set the base on the floor, directly under the attachment point on the ceiling.

5.2 ATTACH THE POLE TO THE CEILING

ATTENTION! In both configurations, WhirlPole and Flying Pole, the two cords inside the pole serve exclusively as additional safety. Never use these cords as the only means of attaching the pole to the ceiling.

Using 640-cm cords, the bonded pairs of the two cords will stick out of the upper end of the pole by approximately 20 cm, enough to connect to the first carabiner and the long shackle.

NB.: Pre-2023 products have longer cords installed, which extend from the pole by approximately 60 cm. It is recommended to untie the cords and re-knot them at the base of the pole in order to shorten them to measure.
Otherwise, use another carabiner to connect the long cords to the primary line at the right distance.

CONNECTING THE POLE TO THE CEILING WITH ALBATROS:
Connect the first carabiner to the larger shackle and attach the bonded pairs of the two safety cords to the same carabiner.
Attach the cord or the strap or the daisy chain (not included) needed to connect the pole to the ceiling to the carabiner (see the table at point 2.1 for cord length).
Attach the end of the cord or the strap or the daisy chain to the second carabiner.
Attach the second carabiner to the Albatros plate.

CONNECTING THE POLE TO THE CEILING WITHOUT ALBATROS:
Connect the carabiner + swivel connector + carabiner to the larger shackle.
Attach the cord or the strap or the daisy chain (not included) needed to connect the pole to the ceiling to the carabiner (see the table at point 2.1 for cord length).
Attach the end of the cord or the strap or the daisy chain to the third carabiner.
Connect the third carabiner to the ceiling hook.

The smaller shackle can be used to connect accessories such as the Hand Loop.

5.3 INSERT THE SPHERE ON THE WHIRLPOLE INTO THE HEXAGONAL BASE AND TILT THE POLE BY 45°.

Insert the sphere into the black hexagonal base.
Tilt the pole by approximately 45°.

6.0 UNINSTALLING THE POLE: DIVIDING THE SECTIONS

Lay the pole in a horizontal position before beginning.

Using the 5-mm hex key, rotate the pin in the upper section for 3.5 turns.
Turn the pole until you see the two small silver pins, then use the hex key to push the pin that you have just unscrewed inwards.
Separate the sections by pulling them gently apart, and then place them alongside each other.

ATTENTION: DO NOT TURN THE HEX KEY TOO FAR IN A COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION, OTHERWISE THE STEEL THREADED BOLT WILL MOVE TOO FAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, ONCE AGAIN LOCKING THE JOINT.
IF THIS HAPPENS, TURN THE STEEL THREADED BOLT CLOCKWISE AS FAR AS IT WILL GO USING THE 5-MM HEX KEY, AND THEN TURN IT COUNTERCLOCKWISE FOR JUST 3 COMPLETE TURNS.

7.0 CHECKS BEFORE USE

7.1 WITH EVERY USE, check that the pole joint or joints are always fully tightened.
7.2 WITH EVERY USE, check that the cord is not damaged or worn, and if damage or wear is discovered, immediately substitute the cord; DO NOT use the WhirlPole.
